I wear contacts. Am I still required to wear the “issued” glasses given by the USAF?

During BMT you will have to wear the glasses issued by the Air Force. Contacts are not a good idea when you are in field conditions and are rushed and busy all day. No time to put them in or keep them clean, and no time to look for them if you lose one.

After BMT you can wear the contacts again, or wear glasses of your choice, as long as they meet the dress and appearance standards while you are in uniform.
